How to care for your Teachers Gift & Wedding Favours

You have received these adorable succulents as a gift but you have no idea how to care for them? Well i’m glad you are here! Succulents are really easy to care for if you follow these few simple tips.

Watering

As these pots are so little I recommend watering more than I usually would for succulents. In this warm weather I recommend watering every few days. If it’s winter (or the weather is quite cool) once a week is plenty.

There are no draining holes in these pots so please water sparingly - succulents don’l like having soggy roots!

If you happen to overwater and flood you succulent, you can hold the rocks and plant in place and tip out any extra water.

Lighting

Succulents LOVE light. Place them out on a patio to keep them happy! If you would like to keep them inside, make sure they are getting plenty of natural light.

Succulents will stretch out and get really tall and thin if they are not getting enough light.

Keep your succulent out of the hot afternoon sun to avoid it getting burnt - again, a patio is usually the perfect place!

Replanting

These little containers aren’t a forever home for you succulent. When you are ready, replant into a bigger pot with a drainage hole or into your garden by gently tipping the pot upside down and pulling out the succulent.

You can gently loosen the roots and plant!

If planting in the garden, choose somewhere that doesn’t get afternoon sun.
